About this deal

Long story short: without HDR (High Dynamic Range) mode the video has very light and very dark (black) portions and looks bad. With the industrial-Grade professional construction camera, BCC200, a wire-free, weatherproof camera bundle, offers quick and easy installation, without cumbersome wiring or power requirements. There are five buttons in total and a 2in TFT LCD screen on the back for composing shots and adjusting settings.

The Brinno TLC200 PRO timelapse camera captures and converts thousands of photos into a time lapse video. Thanks to Brinno's instant video technology you will have a complete video immediately after shooting. The image quality is very good and the resolution means that even objects as far as 30 metres away are still easy to see. Well based on the technical description for my simple straightforward requirements the TLC 200 seemed to be OK, but this was not the case, I ended up with the PRO version which works beautifully. It's built with a high performance HDR (high dynamic range) image sensor which allows you to shoot timelapse videos in any light.I would strongly suggest that you keep a copy of the manual to hand as it is full to the brim with useful, easily digestible information. The housing has rubber buttons for controlling the camera, a compartment at the bottom to hold the included silica gel to avoid condensation, and provides IP67 water resistance.

The TLC 2020 runs on standard AA batteries or can be powered externally via the USB-C port on the side of the camera. You can also secure it to the clamp which in turn can be mounted onto a suitable surface like a window ledge, the edge of a table or shelf. Creating time-lapse videos with the TLC 2020 is incredibly easy, though, plus it offers the long battery life and weatherproof housing. If I had tied the camera to a tree with the bungee cords, I wouldn’t be able to check the status unless I untied the camera, checked the status and put it back in exactly the same position. Although he doesn't consider himself a nerd or a geek, he is a big movie fan and lists Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Harry Potter, The Shawshank Redemption and… Brewsters Millions among his favourites! aspherical glass lens gives sharper brighter images and the 112º field of view allows a wider area to be recorded creating panoramic images. However, if you’re looking at something a bit more robust, something that’s compact and built for the one use of time-lapse, then you’ll probably be interested in the Brinno TLC200 Pro. To be fair, these are enough to fine-tune time-lapse videos to your liking while keeping everything easy to use.

Motivated by aesthetic design, function and the User Experience of emerging and new technologies, products and platforms, he is ever keen to learn, discover and innovate. This professional time-lapse camera solution is designed for job sites, outdoor projects and all-purpose applications. Plus, the TLC 2020 has a battery type option that optimizes battery use depending on whether you’re using Alkaline, lithium, or rechargeable batteries.

More manual control such as ISO, shutter speed and frame rate would be welcome but certainly isn’t essential. In fact, its revolutionary power saving technology ensures that you can film for up to 100 days consecutively. BCC200 delivers the exceptional time-lapse videos even under the most challenging backlights and/or dark conditions. While I feel the camera would benefit from a larger screen, I suspect this may impact manufacturing costs and adversely affect the compact form of the unit.

The clamp feels strong and sturdy in the hand and is well made allowing the user to rotate and lock the camera around 360º on any axes. If you’re looking at capturing a longer process, such as a construction of a building, you can increase the intervals to one every 10 minutes, every hour, or customise it to however long you want. You can do this in Adobe Premiere if you feel confident enough, or do what I did and choose a free online method. Setup time for long shooting periods takes a little more time, but only because you have to set the days and start and finish times for each day alongside shooting frequency and camera settings.

It's extremely easy to use - out of the box - but if you wish to access more sophisticated settings you can. So if you need close shots of anything (small distance or macro shots) this camera is out of question, at 70 cm all objects are very small.
